This is an article I found on CNN that shortened for a reading comprehension quiz. The students are to read the article and answer the questions on the second page. The article is about a woman who at the age of 17 was in a plane crash in the Amazon Rain forest. She was the only survivor of the crash and was able to walk for 11 days to rescue. Really an amazing story and a good test of studentīs comprehension. There are 428 words. The students can be timed to figure out their words per minute reading comprehension speed.
