Costs an arm and a leg - Idioms and Phrases
I used this in my middle school for a 10 to 15 minute activity. It´s a good warm up, or a great way to spend the last ten minutes of class. You teach the kids the meanings of "arm and a leg" (I´d give an arm a leg to... / It costs an arm and a leg.) They practice the dialogue, and then answer a few questions (written, verbally, or both) which require the different uses of the phrase.
