The colours in the puzzle are: pink, grey, brown, white, green, purple, yellow, orange, red, blue, and black. Words may be spelled backwards and diagonally. The letters that are left after the words are found spell the secret answer: RAINBOW. With weaker students I tell them the words and ask them to spell them for me and write them on the board before they start.
