Modal Madness!
How to play: (Instructions included!!!)
First player rolls the dice and moves. If he lands on a blank space, nothing happens, the next player continues by rolling.
However, if he lands on a question space, the PLAYER TO HIS/HER LEFT takes a card and reads the sentence. (the player moving MUST NOT see the card)
The student who rolled then has 5 seconds to begin to answer the question by repeating the words the questioner asked and finishing the sentence appropriately. The repetition must be done PERFECTLY, otherwise the player must go back to the space he/she came from. (or likewise, you can have the student roll again to determine how many spaces to go back- or even make a special die with stickers!)
The other students decide if the answer makes sense, or if it was uttered naturally, or if any mistakes were made.
This could also be adapted with reported speech questions, etc.
