This is a worksheet you can use for the first class with a language assistant. When students meet a native teacher they usually feel curious and ask him/her many questions. This worksheet is very useful to do that in an organized way. It can be adapted to different levels. For elementary students you can even prepare the questions in a previous class. For advanced students, you can use it as a listening activity: the assistant talks about him/her and they fill in the form. Then they can use the information to practice writing. I´ve always used this activity with the language assistants who come to my school every school year. However, it can also be used as a pair work activity to practise conversation.
