This is a recipe for the traditional English dish "Bangers n Mash". It can be used as a group activity. Print out copies of the recipe (according to how many groups you will split the class in to) and cut up the instructions. You can also cut out some verbs if you want to make it harder. The students have to read the instructions and arrange them into the correct order. It provides opportunities to pre-teach/discuss a range of vocabulary - the verbs, the word order, instructions/commands - and also provides an opportunity to show foreign students some traditional British culture. Ample opportunity for follow up activities too.
