Interview Ice-Breaker Worksheet
This is something I´ve used on the first day of a class with all new students. To break the ice and to get the students to know one another we do this activity. I make it into a kind of game, which is optional, but it makes the activity more fun. First I hand index cards out to everyone and tell them to write their name, and one thing about themselves. It can range from their favorite foods, to how old they are. Then I have each student stand up and recite the info. on their card. After everyone has spoken I collect the index cards, divide the class into two teams, and play a game. Beforehand, I would have small strips of paper made up with each students´ name. I call a member from one team to the front to select a name of a student from the opposing team. Then they have to identify that member of the opposing team (1 point) and then remember what they said about themself (1 point). After all names have been chosen the team with the most points wins. The losing team would then have to choose a member of the winning team to interview, and this is where the worksheet is used. Enjoy!!
