A Visit to Qatar A Visit to Qatar

I used the reading passage to introduce the components of information report text (Title, introduction, body and conclusion) as well as the use of adjectives and the simple present tense when writing an information report text. The students are supposed to fill in the diagram with the appropriate information from the text about Qatar. Later on they look up for synonyms to the adjectives that they can use later on when writing their own information report texts about the U.A.E. At a later stage, the students write their own diagrams about 3 cities in the U.A.E. They are also supposed to write a title, an introduction and a conclusion for their texts. After finishing the scaffold, the student has to write his own information report text about the U.A.E.
