Lets keep talking
Aim: To practise using gerund/infinitive after certain verbs
To develop student fluency and confidence when speaking in group
Procedure: Form group of 4 students or more. Deliver one set of cards to each group. The cards are put face down and students starts picking up cards with prompt. Group decide if the verb should be gerund or infinitive. Then the speaker will talk about the topic nonstop for 15 -20 min. If sucessful, he/she keeps the card. If not, he/she has to put it at the bottom of the card pile. The winner is the one who have most cards after a limit of time. Have fun! :)
Follow up: Students can volunteer to report what they find interesting about their friends.
