People Bingo
This is a good icebreaker activity. I have used it in adult ESL classes, but it could be easily modified for younger learners. Begin by teaching students how to ask questions with -do. Write "Do you study English"" on the board. Elicit a positive answer--Yes, I do. Then, write "Do you eat pickles while driving to school?" on the board (or something equally odd). Elicit a negative answer--No, I donīt. Each student then gets a Bingo sheet. They need to ask questions of others in class using a complete question formation. If a student answers Yes, they can put their name in the box. If they answer No, then the person can ask another question until a Yes answer is obtained. Then, the student finds another classmate to ask.
You can modify the sheet to match the needs/level of your class. Enjoy!
