JUST THE WAY YOU ARE by Billy Joel

A good listening and vocab exercise. Could start by giving the song title and asking students what they think the song is about and if they´ve heard of it before. Or you could also give clues so they try to guess the name of the song and artist. The song is broken up into verses/chorus. I usually explain what they need to listen out for and then play/sing each verse. Partner check. Play the song through. Go through answers and vocabulary/expressions they are unfamiliar with. Hand out full lyrics so they can sing along at the end! :-)
