Great lesson plan for learning Family Vocab
I got this idea for this lesson plan from my sign language teacher and while I adapted it to teach french vocabulary it can be adapted for any language. be sure to you use lots of actions. I often use alot of sign language while taching this class because many of the signs are universaly understood. Also you can use any family tree diagram...and I often try to incorporate some of the different family dynamis like step father/mother...adoptive parents and even gay and lesbian couples...kids appriciate it when you show a more diverse representation of the family. I have always had positive feedback. good luck
