This is a recognition/reward scheme that a friend used in her school and kindly passed onto me. This is the second part (unfortunately it was too large to all go on one document, so I have had to download the master smilie sheet separately). It can be found at http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=356172#thetop I give the smiley tokens for good behaviour, high scores in tests, correct spelling, being helpful/polite, pretty much for everything! I use one master sheet per ss (the one with the smiley faces around it) and write on each smiley face what the token was for and the date. The token is given to the ss to keep. Once the whole sheet is full of signed off smiley´s then the sheet is also given to the ss. I have 10 different coloured sheets so the ss have different levels to achieve. After each completed sheet I give the ss a sticker and if they achieve 10 tokens x 10 sheets i.e. 100 in total (it will take a long time) then they are presented with a laminated certificate in front of the school. I find it to be an effective reward system and the ss really enjoy following their progress and seeing what level they are on. Hope I have explained it ok and it is of use. Any questions just PM me!
