conversational hot topics
First, cut the boxes to make cards. Then pile them face down. Next, tell students that they will talk about some really hot topics (that might cause a lot of discussion). Students in general love to agree, disagree, give opinions, speak up. I believe these topics might keep them engaged in conversation for some three classes. It is also a good opportunity to jot down problems, like pronunciation, improper vocabulary and grammar mistakes for further corrections.
