Common Spelling Problems
A lesson to weed out recurring spelling mistakes: your-you´re, we´re-were-where, they´re-there-their, it´s-its, to-too-two, who´s-whose.
This document contains two pages.
The first page is a dictation (i.e. not to be copied for the students). This dictation can be given before or after the grammatical explanation. I personally prefer the former.
The second page is a grammatical grid and and some exercises (i.e. to be copied for the students).
Two remarks about the grammatical grid:
- Translation column included, which still contains the original Dutch translation (mother tongue of my students). It can of course be changed into any other language or removed altogether.
- I have noticed that a mistake has crept in: The top left box was also meant to contain "two" + example & translation - but I forgot to do so.
Good luck!
