Present Perfect Practice--Dictation
This can be used to review several tenses, although the emphasis is on the present perfect, so students can get a feel for it before they have to use it. There are twelve sentences (some are pairs of sentences) to be dictated to students. One student goes to the blackboard while the rest copy the sentences into their notebooks. When each studentīs "turn" is finished, the rest of the class must correct the sentence thatīs on the blackboard, making oral corrections in English (example: erase this letter, write that one...). At the same time, they correct their own written sentences (in their notebooks). Much of the vocabulary is winter-oriented, but thereīs a little bit of everything.
