used to vs be used to
Itīs a worksheet I made to show my students the differences between "used to" and "to be used to". We have out regular senior citizze, John Smith, telling us about his life on the first page and on the second one there is a table with things he habitual activities and actions at certain moments of his life, and also a table with what he does every day now that heīs old. The students have to add the verb and create a sentence (eg: you have "milk" on the sheet under "Childhood" so the appropriate sentence would be (adding the verb "to drink") "He used to drink milk when he was a child".) I used it as something communicative, so every student would say: When he was a child, John Smith used to play X, but now he is used to reading a newspaper.
