Verb Tense Sorting Activity
This activity is designed to help your students identify different verb tenses. The activity will not teach them to use the tense, but will help them understand what you´re talking about when you say "simple present", "present progressive", etc.
Put the headings for each verb tense on the board/wall. Give each student a word (or more than one) and have them place the word under the correct tense. Draw attention to the elements that set each word apart as a specific verb tense.
