Introduce A Partner
This is a worksheet that I have used as an introductory activity. Students learn how to ask about someoneīs name, hometown, family, hobby, subject, and future plans.
Lesson breakdown:
1) Review with the students what to say in order to ask about another personīs name, hometown, family, etc.
2) Individually, students complete "Facts about me".
3) In pairs, students complete "Facts about my partner" by asking their partner the questions created previously in step 1.
4) Choose some pairs to present their partner. Have them read from the "facts about your partner" section.
5) As students are presenting, other students write down interesting facts, and then share them at the end of class.
It helps to model the interview and the presentation with your co-teacher (if you have one). If not, you could use a high-level student. Modeling the conversation sections greatly improves the quality of the lesson.
I hope you enjoy the worksheet!
