TENSES DOUBLE SIDED FLASHCARDS
= divide the class into pairs
= each pair gets one flashcard
= these flashcards can be used for practicing any of the tenses
= if you want to practice the present simple tense Student 1 looks at one side of the card and makes a sentence: Ann reads a book every day. / Student 2 looks at the other side of the card and says: No, she waters the flowers every day
= if you want to practice the present continuous tense Student 1 looks at one side of the card and makes a sentence: Ann is reading a book at the moment. / Student 2 looks at the other side of the card and says: No, she is watering the flowers at the moment.
= you can do the same with past simple, past continuous, simple future, etc
= after finishing making their sentences pairs exchange their cards
= this activity functions best if pairs are walking all over the classroom and changing their partners
= I tried this activity many times with my students and they had a lot of fun while learning
