The story of "The Blue Mountain Bakery"
This is a story I wrote to be used as a lead-in activity in one of my pronunciation lessons. In the text some of the words like "baking", "pain" are bold. This is because the aim of this work is to practice /eý/ sound. Before you model the correct pronunciation of the sound, you can get your learners read it aloud not only to find out if they have problems in pronouncing it but also to give them the chance to compare their pronounciation with yours. Comparison is a good tool for active constructive learning.
