I am hungry song
Thanks to Icarus for his authorisation to add his illustrations. Kids love this simple song and do not only know the words hungry and thirsty, but can ask politely for food or a drink. Of course you add some acting for each line : hungry, eat, please (for food hold out your hand, for a drink hold out a glass).
After "Can I have" either they serve you, either you serve them (symbolic), act the tasting. Later on we introduced spoken yucky first, then we were more polite saying No, thank you.
Very good also to review food and drink vocabulary : they take a card, give it to the hungry / thirsty student, who says thank you, tastes it and comments...
