Black Eyed Peas- ´Meet Me Halfway´
Very topical song! With songs I like to give the students (in groups of 2-5....or whatever is your preference), the lyrics of the song, but with certain words missing, and cut into strips. The students then have to listen to the song and put the lyrics in order (no writing yet). After 1-3 times (depending on difficulty etc), give each individual student a copy of the lyrics in order (again with words missing). After students have checked the order you can play the song a couple more times and ask students to fill in gaps. I´m sure this isn´t new for many of you, but I wanted to include these suggestions for any new teachers out there....Good luck :)
Ps. Obviously it is possible to obtain this song on the internet (stream etc...). Of course check that that version of the song matches this exactly...I have had one very unfortunate experience when I didn´t do so!!
