Crazy Laws
A worksheet to encourage conversation.
First, the teacher asks the students about laws that they like or donīt like from their own countries.
Distribute the worksheet and talk about crazy laws.
Focus on the structure: It is illegal + to + basic verb
It is illegal + for + someone + to + basic verb
Verb-ing + is illegal.
Example: It is illegal to smoke indoors in Canada
Smoking indoors in Canada is illegal.
Next, have students come up with their own crazy laws. You should get some creative answers here.
Then, tell students that they are creating a new society and have to come up with crazy laws for it.
