This word list is super handy for choosing partners. It is important to change partners frequently in the ESL classroom and just giving numbers is not only boring but also misses out on a quick opportunity to review vocabulary. Therefore, give each person a word and then they have to find their partner with the same word or matching word. You can use this generic list and then think of your own which match your class (recently learned vocab etc.) Can lead to some humour: "Are you a carrot?", "Do I look like a carrot? I´m an onion!" I have designed it for classes of 15 people.
