EXPLORING THE COURSE BOOK
It is a fun way to introduce the book to the students. They form groups of 4 or 5 students and have lots of fun trying to finish before the others. 1)Each group gets one copy of the worksheet 2)We read it and explain voacabulary, I give them time to decide on their roles: Secretary, Reader, time keeper and leader or speaker. 3)Finally I give one book to each group, and tell them that as soon as the secretary finishes writing the leader can tell they are ready. 4)I usually take a nice present for the first and second group to finish the task.
You can do the same kind of activity for almost any course book.
