Speaking box
cut topics and have them in a box or bag (divide them or have more copies depending on the number of students). It can be done in pairs or groups of 3 or 4. Students open the box/bag, get one slip of paper with a topic for them to talk about for 1 or 2 minutes. The other students in the group should control the time.
