´Lie to me!´ Game for Past Simple practice (B&W version and Instructions included)
The aim of the game is the practice of Past Simple. The worksheet contains a set of flash-cards with temporal expressions and verbs at infinitive form. The students are divided in groups of 4 and are given the 2 sets of flash-cards (temporal expressions and verbs). Every student has to pick up a card with a temporal expression and one with a verb and make a sentence using Past Simple tense. But, it’s not that easy, the sentence has to be A BIG LIE. E.g. Yesterday I saw President Obama on the street. I ate a crocodile 10 years ago. I had dinner with Angelina Jolie last month. Finally, each group decides who told the best lie and reads it aloud to the class. Students may vote the best lie.
