Invasion of Britain
The French invaded Britain in 1797! If you have access to "Coast," this superb BBC and Open University tour of the British coast, you are fortunate! There are several extracts that upper-intermediate and advanced students will find interesting. This 5-minute extract from episode 3 details the French invasion of Britain which lasted only 48 hours, thanks to the soldiers getting drunk from the port and brandy that they scavenged from the locals! I used the font Papyrus for the title and the font BBC Striped Channel Logo for the BBC logo. You may need to change the fonts and size for everything to fit onto 1 page. (The series 1 DVDs are available on Amazon UK for a very reasonable price.)
