U.S. Landmarks (Part 2 of 2)
This is part 2 of 2. Iīve used this worksheet on days that I donīt feel like "teaching" or speaking the whole class. The students form 8 groups and take a "trip" across the United States to 8 different locations. Each student gets the 1st page of this 5 page set (along with the 1st page of part 1--back to back). You will need one copy of each of the other pages, and place them at different īstationsī around the room. Each group will go to a station and they will have to read about the famous US landmark to fill-in the information on their sheet. After a few minutes, the groups will rotate stations and go on to their next destination, for example, the Grand Canyon.
There isnīt usually too much time at the end of class, but if there is, it would be good to go over the answers with the kids--or at least the names and the interesting facts of each landmark.
Enjoy your ītripī!
