U.S. Landmarks (Part 2 of 2)
This is part 2 of 2. I´ve used this worksheet on days that I don´t feel like "teaching" or speaking the whole class. The students form 8 groups and take a "trip" across the United States to 8 different locations. Each student gets the 1st page of this 5 page set (along with the 1st page of part 1--back to back). You will need one copy of each of the other pages, and place them at different ´stations´ around the room. Each group will go to a station and they will have to read about the famous US landmark to fill-in the information on their sheet. After a few minutes, the groups will rotate stations and go on to their next destination, for example, the Grand Canyon.
There isn´t usually too much time at the end of class, but if there is, it would be good to go over the answers with the kids--or at least the names and the interesting facts of each landmark.
Enjoy your ´trip´!
