Worksheet for oral practice in past simple
This activity provides speaking practice for the past simple. It is good to use on the first lesson back after the vacation. Students talk to all their classmates and find out what happened over the vacation. They make past simple questions, using the cues on this worksheet. Teacher encourages follow-up questions (where, when, who, with, etc.). Students should write the name of the person in the appropriate space, plus notes on any follow-up information. The student who first fill in all the boxes (or as many as possible) in 10 minutes time is the winner.
