VOCAB REVISION FUN GAME (PART 2) VOCAB REVISION FUN GAME (PART 2)

RULES I have invented the game on the basis of what my youngest like, namely drawing cards from a pile which I put on the table. They are always curious what they will draw. You need to cut the cards (picture and its description) and put them on a pile in front of your students. You need to pre-teach your students the following verbs: hold, keep, carry, have. The worksheet is prepared for 5 students (Evelyn, Andy, Margaret, Olivia, Anna) and the teacher (you can adapt it of course), so for 6 persons altogether. You must also cut 4 unfinished sentences for each participant, eg. On her head Evelyn has....., Under her armpit Evelyn holds ......, In her pocket Evelyn keeps ....., In her handbag Evelyn carries .... and stick the cards into the copybook of his/her partner. (You need to have some glue or Cello tape for the lesson). If someone doesn’t have a pair you can stick the pieces about himself/herself into his/her own copybook. Then drawing begins, each student draws one card from the pile and has to stick it next to the first sticker in his/her copybook, eg. On her head Evelyn has..... A NEWSPAPER and so on. After the first turn it’s a lot of fun already and the teacher has an occasion to ask questions such as: “What does Olivia hold under her armpit?” Her partner replies: “A KNIFE” then the teacher asks Olivia: “Olivia, why do you hold A KNIFE under your armpit?” then she has to find a justification: “because I haven’t got a thermometer”, the teacher comments “I see, and you want to know if the knife is hot ...” The game continues with a lot of real FUN! (As I couldn´t dl it as one document, it´s in two parts, I´m sorry)
