This activity is adapted from Pronunciation Journeys in Pronunciation Games. It can be used for any level and basically any age. I substituted animals for cities to make it more kid friendly. Use this when distinguishing between two similar sounds or minimal pairs (e.g. /i/ vs /i:/ or /s/ vs /z/ ) Tell Ss to go left for one sound and right for another. Then say 4 words in a row, and they must follow the path and call out the correct animal at the end. After some practice rounds, they can take turns saying words to each other and following the chart.
