Review: Time Expressions in the Present Simple vs. Present Continuous
This worksheet is a review of the relationship between time expressions and the present simple and present continuous tenses. The exercise should last about 30+ minutes with opportunities to check student comprehension of questioning and answering in the Pres Simple vs Pres Cont. Rather than correct students directly, it also gives peers the opportunity to edit each otherīs work and rethink their own work. Whole class discussion with opportunities for questioning/clarification comes at the end. Ultimately, the worksheet addresses time expressions and the present tense through speaking, listening, writing, and grammar and is in some ways a lesson plan in and of itself. I hope you find it useful! Can be used for Elementary and Pre-Intermediate levels. OR Part 1 can be adapted with less scaffolding for higher levels where students have to insert the open-ended question without having "are you doing" and "do you do" supplied.
