The Road Not Taken - Robert Frost
Worksheet (+ key) on the poem "The road not taken" by Robert Frost. Great for discussing with your students the importance of the decisions we all make.
Other ideas from the poem are discussed:
- The speaker’s dilemma
- The possible outcome of the choice the speaker made
- The risk and the challenge of “taking a road less traveled by”
Discuss why taking one road or the other might “make all the difference” and, then, brainstorm a list of common dilemmas that teenagers face which involve choosing one or more “roads” (e.g. facing peer pressure, choosing friends, observing school and parents’ rules, acting on their own values).
Discuss the immediate and future consequences of the decisions above.
