To Be - Revision Work on To Be in Four Tenses, also suitable for False Beginners. 5 Pages plus detailed Answer Key.
I wanted my adult students to revise to be at the same time as reading an inspiring story, so this is what I came up with. On the first page students find examples of to be and discuss how they are being used. On the second page they complete verb tables for to be in four tenses: present simple, past simple, present perfect, future simple. In the third and fourth pages they first do a gap fill and then an activity on the usage of to be. In the fifth page they both answer and make questions about the text, and then there is a role play activity for them to do in pairs. ALTHOUGH ONLY 4 PAGES SHOW UP IN THE PREVIEW THERE ARE 5 PLUS THE KEY. Thanks to Phillip Martin and Cute Colors for lovely graphics. I hope it is both useful and inspiring for some of you and your students, too. Sorry I realize the font size is a little bigger than many people like to use and it takes up a lot of paper, but 2 of my students are in their sixties and they donīt like small fonts very much, so sorry if it inconveniences some of you. Have a great Thursday all.
