Go Fish game - VERBS
This is a Go Fish game on the topic of verbs. Go Fish games are usually meant for 2-4 players and include 10 sets of 4.
In this first download, you’ll find sets for 8 sets (verbs starting with A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H)
In the next download you’ll find sets for the letters K,L,M,P,R,S,T,W.
The last download has sets for More Verbs starting with S,T,C,L,P,W.
All three downloads will give you two good sized games.
After printing, I suggest pasting cards on a cardboard background (9cmX7cm) and laminating the cards. This is a game your kids will want to play again and again.
The aim of the game is to collect the most sets of four.
How to play: Decide the order of play. Shuffle and deal four cards to each player.
* Player A looks at his cards and asks any of the other players, let’s say B, if she has one of the categories he has in his hand, let’s say ‘T’ verbs.
* If B doesn’t have a ‘T’ verb, then A must take a card from the center (“go fish”).
* If B does have a ‘T’ verb, then A can ask her for a specific one, say ‘talk’.
* If B doesn’t have ‘talk’, then A must take a card from the center (“go fish”).
* If B does have ‘talk’, then A has another turn and can ask any player for one of the categories he has in his hand.
* A’s turn will end when he gets the answer ‘no’ from another player.
* Then it’s the next player’s turn.
* Don’t let your neighbour see your cards.
* Don’t ask for a category if you don’t already have one in your hand.
* When you have a set of four, say them aloud as you lay them on the table.
