Crime Snap
This is a multi-purpose set of cards related to crime & criminals. I have prepared cards with the noun describing people who commit different kinds of crime. There are many options to use these cards; here go some of them:
1. Students work in pairs. The pile of cards is placed in front of them. They take it in turns to pick a card and make a definition of the noun in their card. If their partners, guesses it, the first player keeps the card. Then, his/her partner follows suit. The player with the higher number of cards at the end of game is the winner.
2. Students work in pairs. The teacher sticks one of the cards on the forehead/back of each student, which of course, they cannot see. The students take it in turns to make questions about their "profession" in order to find out what kind of criminal they are. When they do so, it is their partnerīs turn to do the same.
3. This is a variation of the well-known game Snap. Students work in pairs or in groups and these cards in combination with Crime Snap 3 cards (uploaded separately). Cards are placed face down on a table. Students take it in turns to turn 2 cards face up. If what they reveal when doing so is a criminal and its definition, they keep the pair; if not they put back the cards face down and try to remember for the next round the position of these cards, taking into consideration the fact that this is a vocabulary game based on memory.
