Talking about Abilities using CAN / CANīT Modal Auxiliary Verbs
This worksheet is focused on practicing the modal "can" in question, positive and negative form. There is also a language building section, which focuses on linking verbs with noun phrases and adverbs. The activate part of the lesson asks students to describe someone they love or trust by talking about what that person can or canīt do.
Some of the noun phrases are a little challenging for younger students, but they should be appropriate for faux-beginners or adult learners seeking practice of simple language patterns.
