Bolt 14B The Many Accents of English
This is a worksheet that I used for my middle school English camp. This will allow the students to have more exposure to English accents. In class you can use this worksheet after you complete chapter 7, 14, or 15 from the movie. For the activity, first you can remind the students about the pigeons. Then, you go over the vocabulary in the tree diagram. Obviously, the accents all sound a little different to a native speaker, but the students may have trouble. So, teaching them the comparsion words will be useful. After that, play the video once to let them listen and then react. Play it again and let them fill in the answers. Play it a 3rd time, and pause inbetween each accent. Check the answers in the MS Word file.
