comparatives
This is a simple card game for practising comparatives. It could also be easily adapted for superlatives. I pre-taught "I am stronger than you," "You are older than me," etc. The students work in pairs. I made three sets of cards so I sat my students around three tables and gave them one set to each table. Each student takes a card then the teacher chooses a category from the five on the card. The students in their pairs compare cards and the one with the highest number in that category will say "I´m ________ than you." While the other student will say "You are ________ than me." The students can score points for each game. After, if the students are sat around a table, they can find out who has the highest number in the category on the table and they would say "I´m the _______est" and would collect an extra point.
There are 24 cards and a page which is used as a backing for the cards.
