Blends such as eer, ire and our are no longer troublesome but fun. Make small groups and give each group a magnifying glass and a poster, then dictate words to them. They must first find the words and then write them on the board. For new vocabulary, write the word on the board and have them find the correct picture. Now give them the word shapes puzzle to do. Lots of ways to use this unique resource. Enjoy.
