What would inanimate objects say?
You will need cards with photographs or pictures of common inanimate objects, such as chair, a floor tile, a pen, a television remote control etc. You need at least one picture per student in your class and e.g.a stone for you. Hold up the stone for all the students to see. Explain that this is a very special stone. Tell the students that the stone was once a part of a great castle. The castle was the home of a king who ruled over a huge empire until he was defeated in a battle of five hundred years ago. Say to the students: This stone has seen a lot of things in its life. Imagine if this stone could speak. What would it say?
Pair students and have them create a dialogue between their inanimate objects.
