Chain Conditionals (First Conditional)
This worksheet is used as practice before playing the speaking game Chain Conditionals. The first part of the worksheet gives the format of the first conditional with an example sentence. Then, there is an example of how to do chain conditionals highlighting the key words to form the conditional. To make a chain conditional, you say a conditional sentence. Then, you take the second part of the first sentence and make it the beginning of your next conditional sentence, and so on. You might have to repeat this process with the students before the completely understand multiple times. After each student has complete this worksheet correctly, you can move on to give them random prompts like "If I won the lottery..." and have each student add on to what the student before said.
