Adjectives story starter

I gave pupils a spiky soft ball which they had to feel, smell and then start to describe. I explained that these balls had fallen from the sky so we discussed what they could be (aliens, stars etc). The children really enjoyed it, and it is a task in which to assess childrens prior knowledge.
