Fortune Telling Slips
Students LOVED this adjunct to my Lunar New Year´s class in which they each walk away with a fortune both good and bad. Each students writes and then draws out of a crystal ball their fortune. The students were literally rolling on the ground laughing when a boy pulled out "You will have many boyfriends, but you will not be handsome."
DIRECTIONS: It´s a good idea to go over the grammar required for these slips. You will (this good thing will happen to you), but you will (this bad thing will happen to you). Refresh their tenses and the use of conjuctions.
You will need a container (aka: crystal ball). Students write a fortune, fold the paper in half, put it back into crystal ball, and then draw them out one at a time while reading their fortune to the class.
Enjoy!
