So.. this is something I used for practising Past Simple with the topic of movies. In the first table we have names of movies or other topics related to movies and in the other table there are all sorts of information for each topic. I cut all the parts of the table and i matched the topic with the sentence... for example "Colour movie" with "did you know that the first colour movie was..." I sticked the name of the topic over the sentence i did this for all topics and sentences. Then i sticked them on the blackboard and i make a kind of game. Each studet had to choose a topic. He cam to the bb and took the topic that he liked and he had to read the information written on the sheet of paper attached to the paper with the topic. The verbs on the paper with information are in the infinitive and they had to put them in the Past simple. I used this at the end of my Movies - Past simple lesson, as a way of relaxing and also practising the tense. I hope you like it.
