Opposites matching game
A matching game of adjectives with some nouns and verbs for learners to differentiate between. I use this as a follow-up to a comparatives/superlatives lesson. Learners decide which of the words are adjectives and then form the comparatives/superlatives from them. Copy onto card or laminate, and cut into individual cards. Distribute to students according to how you wish to play the game. It can either be used as a straightforward matching game in groups/pairs, a pelmanism game or as a team game to find your matching card. Alternatively it could be a mingle activity if you have room in your class!
