English worksheet: Dirty Jobs Dirty Jobs

My mixed high school kids enjoyed this lesson and were grossed out by some of the dirty jobs, while laughing at others. They also had fun thinking of dirty jobs for me when I go back to Canada. I first brainstormed some dirty jobs with my high school students in their country and had them write the list we made on their papers. Then I showed some example clips from YouTube (there´s actually an American ´Dirty Jobs´ program you can find some clips from, too); after each clip I asked them their thoughts about the job. Then I had students write what dirty job they´d want me to have when I return to Canada. I told students it wasn´t serious so they could have fun writing about the job, the work involved and my tasks and any other reasons they wanted me to have this job. Finally, volunteers had a chance to read their ideas in front of the class. The worksheet can be altered in any way you like.
