Help the farmer harvest his crops. Useful for a lesson on farming or on vegetables. Get the kids to colour in the vegetables and cut them out and stick them in the basket. In order to make all the vegetables fit the vegetables have to cut quite neatly and pasted without the words, but at this age I thought the words would only be useful for reference. If you do want to teach writing I also got my 7 year olds to write a list of all the vegetables the farmer had in his basket so there are 2 carrots, some wheat etc etc so it can be used to revise plurals and countable and uncountable nouns as well.
